INTERSEROH SE, with its headquarters in Cologne and a company under the umbrella of the ALBA Group, has around 1,800 employees around the globe. The company stands for high-quality recycling and modern closed loop recycling management.

Our fields of business lie in collecting, transporting, processing and recycling empty packaging, disused products and old metals in numerous European countries. In this way Interseroh guarantees industry a supply of valuable secondary raw materials, which are traded worldwide. In 2010 this amounted to approximately 4.5 million tons.

Our segments in figures

In the steel and metal recycling segment Interseroh operates in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. We maintain trading offices in Sweden, China and Hong Kong, to name but three countries. Interseroh belongs to the top three companies on the German scrap steel market and is therefore a strong supplier of the local and European steel and metal industry.

The spectrum of services offered by Interseroh is based on, among others, the German Packaging Ordinance and the German Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act and comprises the return of packaging (systems for transport and sales packaging, branch solutions, deposit system, pool system for reusable transport packaging), return of products (e.g. electric and electronic scrap) and substance flow management.

Interseroh consolidates recovered paper, plastics and wood into large volumes in order to return them to industrial production. The group coordinates a Germany-wide, and increasingly also a Europe-wide, recycling network with more than 6,000 contractual partners from industry, more than 100,000 collection points, 600 certified waste management companies and 300 recyclers.
