For us as a leading environmental management and raw materials trading company a reason to measure the quantity of carbon dioxide saved in real figures:
According to a study by the renowned Fraunhofe Institute UMSICHT, the ALBA Group helps to avoid more than 6.3 million tons of carbon dioxide per year in Germany with its recycling activities. A mixed European forest covering 6,244 km2 would be needed to bond this amount of CO2 - an area roughly seven times that of Berlin.
