Take-back and recycling of votive candles in Slovenia
Graveyard administrators, manufacturers, buyers and importers of votive candles must ensure that the spent candles are disposed of and recycled correctly.
Graveyard administrators must ensure that old votive candles
- are collected and temporarily stored as special waste on the graveyard in containers that are marked "For votive candles only"
- are not mixed with other wastes
- are handed over to service providers of municipal services
The administrator must also keep a list on the direct surrender of old votive candles.
Manufacturers, buyers and importers of votive candles are obliged
- to bear the costs incurred by the graveyard administrator and municipal service provider for the disposal of the old candles that they have brought onto the market
- ensure the recycling of the collected candles at their own cost
- enter the votive candles that have been put into circulation and taken back in the list for manufacturers, buyers and importers of the candles
The Interseroh system to take back and recycle votive candles
The manufacturers, buyers and importers as well as the graveyard administrators can transfer all of their obligations as regards the ordinance to Interseroh. We can offer an integrated system for dealing with the old votive candles.
Containers for the separate collection of votive candles will be provided by Interseroh. Interseroh also takes care of the removal and recycling of the candles. At the same time we also take care of your other statutory obligations.
