As a filler of paper bags, you are obliged to take back and recycle the packaging you distribute according to the Packaging Ordinance. Repasack helps you meet these obligations. Because the Repasack symbol is the "return-ticket" for your paper bags.
The Repasack system – with certified quality
You cannot do without the Repasack symbol, because this does not only document the recyclability of the paper bags but also proves that the paper bag will be recycled in the intention of the German Packaging Ordinance. more
Symbol licence agreement for your paper bags
The Repasack symbol classifies the goods filled into the paper bags according to § 4 of the Packaging Ordinance as either building materials, chemical products or human and animal foods.
A corresponding licence agreement has to be concluded with REPASACK GmbH that allows you to use the Repasack symbol. In order to prevent any misuse, the symbol is only valid in conjunction with a specific customer registration number.
Two opportunities of participation – one sustainable solution
- You pay for the disposal service when you buy the paper bags. In this case the Repasack licence is held by our cooperation partners or the paper bag manufacturers. You pay for each paper bag that bears the Repasack symbol. This is only possible for non-hazardous fillings.
- You conclude a contract directly with Repasack. In this case you purchase the licence yourself and then authorise the manufacturer of your paper bags to print the Repasack symbol on the bags on your behalf. The advantage: You pay for the total quantity of paper bags for Germany in regular instalments over the year.
Take-back terms for paper bags

- They are to be separated according to filling material groups.
- They may not contain any foreign matter.
More details of the take-back conditions can be found here.

We can offer the Repasack-G (hazardous goods) system for packaging containing polluted fillings from trade and industry in accordance with §8 of the Packaging Ordinance. In this case a special symbol licence contract has to be concluded.
